Suspended WWE superstar, Titus O’Neil, has revealed in an interview with Wrestlezone's Nick Paglino that he will be quitting professional wrestling one his current contract is up.
O’Neil was handed a 90-day suspension for what WWE has described as an inappropriate gesture towards Chairman Vince McMahon during Daniel Bryan's retirement speech on the February 8 edition of Raw.
Whether the gesture was a part of kayfabe or not remains a mystery, but O’Neil stated in the interview that he is not bitter over the incident.

“When you think about it, WWE didn’t break the story. It got announced by Fox Sports news. Outlets that had nothing to do with wrestling took this story and the fans responded," said the veteran wrestler.
"If I were a problematic person, or cancer in the locker room, or a repeated jerk, I could definitely see the reasoning behind the length of the suspension.
"At the end of the day it all stems from my actions, whether it was an act of gesture or a jovial playful situation, it was deemed inappropriate, I just deal with it.”
O’Neil’s position in the company has now come into question as the suspension came at a time where he was gaining some serious momentum.
Many had tipped him for a future WWE title push, but if the suspension is really not a part of kayfabe, it would hard to see WWE management allowing that anytime soon.
All part of a plan?
However, if the suspension is a part of kayfabe, then WWE fans may be in for a shock at WrestleMania this year.
The third instalment of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal will take place and with little hype, a shock return and win from O’Neil could help catapult him as a singles superstar.
The other storyline Titus could find himself is the Shane McMahon vs Undertaker match. With Vince virtually being in the corner of The Undertaker, it makes a lot of sense for Shane to recruit Titus for assistance in the match.
He has the physical stature to match 'Taker and WWE creative could use it as an opportunity to maximise on the heat between Vince and O’Neil. If Shane was to win, and take control of Raw, Titus could be the first in line for a WWE title shot.
Do you think O’Neil’s suspension is just a part of a storyline for WrestleMania? Could he make a shock return to the biggest stage of them all, let us know in the comments sections
