Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to bring Manchester City midfielder Fernando to Anfield this summer, according to The Sun.
The report claims that the Reds are prepared to pay as much as £10 million to secure the signature of the Brazilain ace in the next transfer window.
With Pep Guardiola set to take over at the Etihad ahead of next season, it's far from certain as to whether Fernando will be involved in his plans.

The midfielder has struggled to hold down a regular place in the City side throughout the course of the campaign - he has made just 17 Premier League appearances - so a summer transfer wouldn't exactly come as a surprise at this stage.
But it won't be easy for Liverpool to capture the midfield maestro; the same report from The Sun claims that Porto are also interested in his services.
Fernando previously spent a successful spell at the Portuguese outfit, so it's not entirely surprising that they are looking to re-sign him.
But it appears that Klopp is ready to overhaul his Liverpool side, despite recent success. The Reds are in fine form under the guidance of the revered manager - they have won their last three fixtures in all competitions - but there is still a long way to go in pursuit of long-term success.
Klopp will know only too well that he needs to build his own Liverpool team. Perhaps, then, his new-look team will feature Fernando, but there appears to be a long way to go in this saga.
The manager's immediate focus, of course, will be leading his side to a place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
After securing an emphatic 2-0 victory over Manchester United in the first leg, the Reds will be desperate to finish the job at Old Trafford this evening.
It won't be easy, but there's no way that Klopp will let his players rest on their laurels. The former Borussia Dortmund boss has already admitted that his side will decide the atmosphere at the Theatre of Dreams.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, as per the Mirror, the Liverpool chief stated: “In Liverpool it was different from the first second on. That’s right. But if we had played poorly I am pretty sure it wouldn’t have been too easy to have the same atmosphere over the whole 95 minutes.
“We will decide how good the atmosphere is with our performance. We will have 3,000 fans. That’s enough. That’s a really good number. If they give their best I am sure we will take this and show it in our performance.
“The performance is always one reason for the atmosphere. If we do our best it will be difficult for Man United to enjoy the game.”
