Philippe Coutinho has just silenced Old Trafford completely with a stunning goal for Liverpool.

The Theatre of Dreams was rocking after Anthony Martial scored a penalty to make it 1-0 on the night and 2-1 on aggregate in the Reds' Europa League tie against Manchester United.

With half hour gone, Louis van Gaal's side were back in the tie and on the offensive. Enter Coutinho.

The Brazilian trickster picked up the ball on the left wing, before tricking his way into the area and scooping his finish beyond David de Gea from an impossibly tight angle. You can watch the video below.

The superb strike completely changes the complexion of the tie, and means the game can't go to penalties. Manchester United need three goals in order to progress.

The goal has, of course, set the internet ablaze, with Liverpool supporters taking to Twitter to hail their trickster playmaker for his moment of magic.

Should Liverpool go on to win from here, they would move one step closer to winning the Europa League, which would offer them a route back into the Champions League. A showdown against Klopp's former side Borussia Dortmund, who are beating Tottenham, could be on the cards as well.

That remains some way off however and Jurgen Klopp will be urging his side to focus on the second half, which is underway, before dreaming of silverware.

The Reds have already missed out on one trophy this season having lost in the Capital One Cup final against Manchester City.

Are Liverpool amongst the favourites to win the Europa League?
