Antoine Griezmann is a truly remarkable player. The Atletico Madrid forward has been in tremendous form throughout the course of the campaign and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Ultimately, with Atletico Madrid still in with an outside chance of securing the La Liga title - they currently trail leaders Barcelona by eight points - Griezmann has once again expressed himself in style on the pitch.

It's safe to say that the technically gifted star has struck a fine free-kick against Sporting Gijon to give his side the lead in today's La Liga showdown.

On the edge of the box, the France international curled home a beautiful strike with his left foot, which found the top corner with perfection.

The player's latest outrageous strike is his 17th of the season in Spain's elite division. That's quite the return.

Anyway, you can see it for yourself here:

Champions League showdown

Griezmann and co. may well have one eye on their huge Champions League quarter-final fixture against Spanish giants Barcelona.
