5 WWE stars Seth Rollins should face when he returns

Seth Rollins’ knee injury rocked the WWE last year when the then-WWE World Heavyweight Champion was forced to undergo surgery and vacate the championship, allowing the likes of Roman Reigns, Sheamus and Triple H to capture the title.

Despite being a heel, his absence was felt, and it’s clear he was a huge loss to the company as he was one of the most reliable stars who brought his best every single week.

Although he’s going to be missing WrestleMania, a year after cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to become champion, his return is drawing nearer, and it has fans excited.

He’s been included in the SummerSlam promotion which means he should be involved in a big match, but his return should be coming before that, and there are plenty of stars who will be looking to get into the ring with him.

Here are the feuds I believe we could, or should see when he makes his in-ring return.

This one feels like one of the most obvious feuds to happen, especially if Reigns does what everyone expects him to do at WrestleMania and walks away the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The interesting thing with this is deciding which star is face and which is the heel. Even if Rollins returns as a heel the reaction he’ll receive will be the reaction an ultimate face received while Reigns will continue to draw boos.

The WWE simply need to turn Reigns heel; that will get the best out of him and it will allow Rollins to have a run as a face. As a face, he will have better matches and a better move-set on display for the fans. His run as a heel champion was entertaining, but chasing the champion as a face would be something great.

The two were originally scheduled to meet at Survivor Series before the unfortunate incident anyway; perhaps this is something the WWE are looking at right now.

Bray Wyatt needs something to do, he’s too good to sit on the sidelines doing nothing and you can’t even blame him for that, the booking has been horrible and it’s hurting his stock as a heel every single week.

This is something the WWE could potentially take advantage of, a Rollins return doesn’t mean he’ll be thrown into the title picture right away as a face, and he may be forced to work opposite heel stars before an opportunity comes knocking.

A perfect feud for him would be Wyatt and The Wyatt Family; he’d look like a huge face with the fans on his side and at the same time, he will be helping establish Wyatt as a top heel in the company again.

The two have chemistry as we’ve seen before, they’re both good workers and good on the microphone so it’ll be a fool proof feud and one the fans could get behind.

This is almost like a dream match in the WWE, especially since the possibility of having AJ Styles vs. Rollins inside of a WWE ring looked unlikely not too long ago.

The arrival of Styles allows the WWE to explore different avenues regarding having incredible matches, and one of those should be with Rollins considering they’re both two of the finest wrestlers on the planet today.

The two have only met once, and that was back in 2006, it’s clear they’ve both improved, and the prospect of the two sharing a ring is incredible, perhaps even a WrestleMania calibre match.

The WWE are doing a good job of easing Styles into the company by going up against someone who is used to his style in Chris Jericho, when he’s in full swing the WWE will look to take advantage of his talent and one of the many incredible matches the WWE Universe will call for is these two to get it on, with or without a championship involved.

This is another feud which will be amazing if Rollins heads into it as a heel. Both Rollins and Kevin Owens are fantastic heels; there’s no doubt about that but Owens is probably the best heel on the roster because you can’t tell whether he’s in or out of character and that’s unique.

When Rollins got injured, Owens was discussed as his potential successor as the top heel in the company, so that gives you an indication as to how closely matched the two are, the only difference is that the WWE sees more value in Rollins because of his look.

Both of them are incredible in the ring, great on the microphone and Owens does belong in the title picture. The fans love Rollins, so it’ll rub off well on Owens too when he attempted to take him down as only he can.

Like Reigns, this is another feud which should happen especially since it was rumoured to be planned for 2015. Seeds had been planted for a while, and this is the perfect feud for Rollins to explode onto the scene once more but this time as a face with Triple H as the big heel.

There’s no denying the two share incredible chemistry on-screen, ever since the day Rollins turned heel, and The Game pulled the strings on Rollins’ reign to the top of the company. It would work out a lot better if Triple H is still the champion when Rollins makes his return to the company.

Triple H won’t want to give away the championship he won, while Rollins will want back the championship he never rightfully lost, it’s like the perfect face turn for one of the best in the company.
