Jamie Redknapp predicts the Premier League top four

With the Premier League season approaching its final stages, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has predicted which teams will fill the top four positions.

In fact, the former Liverpool man doesn't think that anything will change; he's tipped Leicester City for the title while suggesting that Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City will make up the remaining Champions League places.

Claudio Ranieri's Leicester, of course, currently sit at the summit of the table and hold a five-point lead over north London outfit Spurs.

Arsenal sit in third position - 11 points off the top - while Manchester City are clinging on to fourth place after suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

With the Red Devils and West Ham United just one point behind City, the race for fourth is well and truly on.

Top four prediction

But Redknapp, despite insisting that it's near enough impossible to predict this unpredictable Premier League season, believes that things will stay the same.

Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, the pundit stated: "I think Leicester might just get across the line. I’m not saying I trust them to do it because they’ve never won it before.

"If they had an in-form Man City or last season’s Chelsea breathing down their necks I don’t think they’d hang on but with Tottenham, who have not been in this position either, their nearest challengers, they may well do it.

"In third it’s Arsenal. They could still win the title. I don’t think they will, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they did. It’s been that kind of season.

"Then in fourth I think Man City’s experience will see them through. Their form has been awful and their away record is dire, so having five away matches in their run-in won’t help."

Brilliant Leicester

The impossible really looks possible: Leicester City may well claim the Premier League title in May. There's not many, except Tottenham and Arsenal fans, that will begrudge them of the honour.

Ranieri's side have truly been an inspiration this season and it would be a great shame to see them throw it away at this stage.

But they are proving their doubters wrong week in, week out and there's no reason why they won't be able to go all the way.

They still have a couple of testing fixtures on the horizon - games against Manchester United and Chelsea won't be easy - but they have the quality to prevail and end up as champions.
