Tahith Chong is a name very few Manchester United fans will be familiar with at this moment in time, but that could all be about to change.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are close to securing the Dutch wonderkid’s services.
The 16-year-old forward, who can also play on the wing and in midfield, is also on the radar of Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal but it appears United are leading the race for the Feyenoord starlet.

Chong alerted Manchester United’s interest with his eye-catching performances at last summer’s Premier Cup, which was held at the Red Devils’ Carrington training complex.
And in January, he told reporters in the Netherlands that United were chasing his signature.
“Feyenoord is and remains my first choice and we are still negotiating," he was quoted as saying by the MEN.
“It's true that Manchester United are interested in me, but I want to just stay at Feyenoord. There is absolutely no question that I'm going out to the club.
“Feyenoord now will come up with a plan of how they see me in the coming years at the club. I am hopeful that it will be all right and that I'm going to sign a contract with Feyenoord.”
Chong could hardly have made his intentions clearer, but his words haven’t deterred Manchester United from pressing ahead with plans to sign him.

The Red Devils are determined not to miss out on the Willemstad-born forward who has represented the Netherlands at Under-17 level.
And watching footage of the teenager in action, it’s easy to understand why.
Chong, who sports a distinctive Carlos Valderrama-esque hairstyle, looks quick and powerful for his age and is equipped with an excellent left foot.
He can pick a pass, dribble past opponents and looks composed whenever he gets inside the penalty area.
Chong may be reluctant to sign if Mourinho arrives
If United are successful in their efforts to bring Chong to Old Trafford, it might be a while before the Red Devils’ faithful see him in the first team.
Much could depend on whether Louis van Gaal, who has given plenty of youngsters opportunities to shine since arriving at Old Trafford in 2014, remains the manager of Man United beyond this summer.
Speculation is rife that Jose Mourinho will replace Van Gaal at the end of the season - and given the former Chelsea manager’s poor track record when it comes to developing young players, Chong may be reluctant to put pen-to-paper on a deal with United until it becomes clear who will be in charge of the Premier League giants over the forthcoming seasons.
