Thunder 111, Rockets 107

Kevin Durant had a great night as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Houston Rockets 111-107 on Tuesday night at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, their fifth win in a row.

Durant was the Thunder's highest scorer on the night, scoring 23 points, and grabbed seven rebounds and added four assists. Russell Westbrook did his bit as well, and actually had his third straight triple-double and sixth in past nine games, when he added 21 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds.

The Rockets kept the chase for most of the game, keeping the game tight. James Harden scored 24 points and added 16 assists. Dwight Howard and Patrick Beverley each scored 16, with the former adding 13 rebounds on the night as well. This was the second loss in a row for the Rockets.

Heat 113, Pelicans 99

The Miami Heat defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 113-99 at the Smoothie King Center.

Dwayne Wade scored 25 points for the Heat, adding seven rebounds and three assists, while Hassan Whiteside scored 24 points with 14 rebounds, and blocking three shots.

Luke Babbitt scored a season-high 23 points for the Pelicans, but the team were behind in the game by at least double digits for the majority of it, only getting as close as five points in the fourth quarter. Jrue Holiday also scored 24 but missed 16 of his 23 shots.

The win puts Miami in third position in the Eastern Conference and within touching distance of earning themselves a playoff spot.

Lakers 107, Grizzlies 100

The LA Lakers snapped a four-game losing streak as they defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 107-100 at the Staples Center.

Lakers' Jordan Clarkson scored 22 points while Kobe Bryant added 20 points including 12 points in the third quarter, but the NBA legend sat out the final 4:20 of the game. Brandon Bass contributed 18 points too.

Julius Randle had 13 points and 14 rebounds and Lou Williams also scored 13 for the Lakers.

Tony Allen scored 27 points for the Grizzlies, making all of his 12 shots. Zach Randolph and Lance Stephenson added 16 points each as well.

Hornets 105, Nets 100

Nicolas Batum's 23 points helped the Charlotte Hornets defeat the Brooklyn Nets 105-100 at the Barclays Center. Batum was the top scorer for the Hornets on the night, and Jeremy Lin added 21 points while Kemba Walker and Frank Kaminsky scored 14 apiece.

Batum and Lin combined for 20 points in the fourth quarter. They helped the Hornets win for the 11th time in 13 games, as they were 15 of 28 shots from the field, including five of six in the fourth quarter.

For the Nets, Brook Lopez was their top scorer with 29 points and he also added nine rebounds and six assists. Sean Kilpatrick added a career-best 25 points but this couldn't stop the Nets slip to their ninth loss in their last 11 games.
