Five superstars AJ Styles should feud with after WrestleMania

This year, the WWE managed to pull off a huge coup by finally signing AJ Styles to a full-time contract, after The Phenomenal One gave his notice to New Japan Pro Wrestling, and the additions have continued.

Styles’ arrival was quickly followed by Shinsuke Nakamura and it’s only a matter of time before ‘Machine Gun’ Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows of the Bullet Club arrive at the WWE.

The arrival of AJ Styles was met by understandable excitement and his first feud with Chris Jericho is almost in the books, this means attention will quickly turn to post-WrestleMania where more options for feuds will be available.

There is potential for the WWE to have AJ Styles in some of the biggest feuds of the year, as well as some of the best matches, which is what we expect of him, here are the five superstars I believe he needs to feud with.

I think eventually; the WWE will need to include AJ Styles into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture because of how popular he regardless of which city the WWE are in. I do believe Styles can help bring out the best in Roman Reigns, but a feud with Seth Rollins is something too good to turn down.

They’ve only ever met on one occasion so it will be great to see how far both men have come a decade after meeting at Ring of Honor. The matches between the two will be incredible, and it’d be fantastic to see to former ROH stars main eventing shows with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship involved.

It won’t even matter who is the heel in this feud, simply seeing them locked in a programme would leave the fans eating out of the WWE’s palm.

This is probably not something the WWE fans will want to see as Ryback is failing to reach the main event status he did years ago. He’s not exactly the greatest of in-ring competitors either but this feud could be beneficial for Styles if the two lock horns.

The WWE made a great decision of having Jericho turn heel, this resulted in even more fans siding with the face and considering the majority of the WWE Universe dislike Ryback, it means Styles will be able to continue growing as an even bigger face.

His fans will know how talented he is; some may even believe he doesn’t necessarily need to prove himself, but there’s no harm in going out there and impressing against anyone standing opposite him. A feud with him, along with his growth as a face could bode well for his future main event chances.

Cesaro is another superstar who is likely to face AJ Styles when he returns from injury. When Styles made his debut, WWE.com published an article revealing names they’d like to see him go up against, one of the popular choices on that list was the King of Swing, and rightfully so.

The WWE should have selective feuds ready for Styles, by having him in feuds where he can’t progress, it’ll only harm him and damage his reputation he’s built for himself. He’s known for having incredible matches, and Cesaro is somebody he can put on classic matches with.

Cesaro is also in need of some assistance; he’s accused of not connecting with the fans, and if they stick him in the ring with Styles, perhaps it’ll be a huge wake-up call for Vince McMahon to give both men a strong push in the near future.

With Finn Balor set to battle Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver: Dallas for the NXT Championship, one of the two men could be joining the main roster, and either of them should clash with Styles.

There’s history between all three of them. Styles and Samoa Joe have a rich history at Ring of Honor as well as TNA, and it will be surreal to see the two of them battle it out in the middle of a WWE ring. How many of us ever thought we could see them go one on one in the WWE?

With Balor, it all comes down to the history of the Bullet Club and how Styles took over, not only that but the arrival of Anderson and Gallows could play a pivotal role in this feud taking place. Whatever happens, the WWE fans deserve to see both of these feuds.

Another dream match the WWE Universe deserves is AJ Styles going one on one with John Cena. We know Styles is a superior wrestler out of the two, but Cena is also a great worker as he helped put on some of the greatest matches of the year in 2015.

This feud can go further, though; it’s not something that’s thrown together last minute because Cena has been carrying the company for so long as is the undisputed face of the company.

The same can be said for AJ Styles. However, he was the face of TNA and helped them during their glory days when trying to compete with the WWE. The WWE obviously won’t highlight the company Styles worked for, but fans will know that it’ll be the battle between WWE and TNA, and with Vince still at the helm, the winner seems obvious; despite the fact we could see an incredible wrestling match.
