Four superstars that should receive WWE title shots after WrestleMania

The WWE Universe have made it clear that they aren’t interested in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania where Roman Reigns goes one on one with the champion, Triple H.

There has been anger and frustration ever since Reigns won a triple threat match at Fastlane, handing him a second successive WrestleMania main event. It’s no secret that it looks as if Reigns will be leaving Dallas as the new champion, even though the majority of the fans don’t want it.

It’s probably too late to change plans at this stage, so as fans we will have to deal with the situation and hope things change after WrestleMania. The WWE must now focus on potential contenders for the champion after WrestleMania, in this case, Reigns.

Here are the four top stars I believe will be discussed as potential contenders as the months go by.

It’s clear that Triple H will still be involved in the title picture if he loses, considering he would still have a rematch to invoke, but looking away from him the WWE have the opportunity to rebuild Bray Wyatt into a top heel.

Fans can argue that Wyatt is no longer the same superstar he was when he debuted, and The Wyatt Family are no longer feared nor entertaining. However, that’s not exactly their fault; we should blame bad booking for their decline. But it’s a fresh start after WrestleMania and the WWE should look to put more faith back into Wyatt because he is very talented, inside the ring and on the microphone.

We heard the reaction Wyatt received when he went face to face with Triple H before WWE Roadblock and it’s clear it’s something they would love to see. Wyatt is long overdue a championship opportunity and going up against Reigns could be the catalyst for his rise to the top.

Dean Ambrose it the biggest face in the company right now, in fact, he is what Vince McMahon wants Reigns to be amongst the WWE Universe but it won’t happen unless things change quickly.

Ambrose proved that he has what it takes to hold his own in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture, he’s been involved with the championship on and off ever since Seth Rollins held the title and even more so since Survivor Series 2015.

He’s had some great matches and the fans have been behind him, so much so that they’d prefer it if he was going up against Triple H for the title at WrestleMania. If rumours are to be believed, then Ambrose is set to be in the title picture following WrestleMania, which prompts questions as to who could be turning heel, if anyone.

The WWE need to capitalise on his popularity, and by having him in the championship picture, they’ll be utilising a great talent.

The WWE have sorely missed John Cena, even though the fans who dislike him won’t want to admit it. The WWE have relied on him for so long and it’s clear why; he’s carried the company for so long that he’s always going to be involved in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture.

It’d be interesting to see who the fans would boo more out of Cena and the person the WWE fans believe is Cena 2.0. It’s clear that the two are going to meet for the championship at some point, perhaps when Cena is on his way out in the ultimate ‘passing of the torch’ moment between the two men.

Not only that, Cena will want his record-breaking championship reign so a big match could be on the horizon when he returns.

Another superstar the fans can’t wait to see back in action, Seth Rollins is probably the most likely superstar on the list to compete for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship when he’s back.

He never lost the championship and was scheduled to face Reigns for the title at Survivor Series, so it’s only right the two meet again, although it doesn’t bode well for Reigns receiving cheers from the fans.

Regardless of how Rollins returns or who against, he will be cheered like a top face and if it’s against Reigns, then Vince will probably hate it. Nevertheless, Rollins is a proven champion and is a safe bet to be a top star alongside Reigns as the year goes by.

Who knows, we may even get the heavily rumoured Shield triple threat earlier than expected?
