Germany international Jonas Hector has insisted that he is happy at Bundesliga outfit FC Koln but admits that Jurgen Klopp could tempt him to Liverpool.

As reported by Eurosport, the left-back, who looks set to star against England on Saturday night, has gone from strength-to-strength in the game over the course of the last few seasons.

At 25-years-old, he is now a key member of the German national side and looks likely to represent his country at Euro 2016.

Unsurprisingly, then, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been credited with an interest in the player recently.

Klopp, of course, arrived on English soil late last year and has slowly but surely improved things on Merseyside.

But it's clear for all to see that the revered manager will be desperate to change the dynamic of his squad this summer as he goes in search of long-term success.

The Reds boss will certainly be boosted by Hector's latest comments regarding his future.

The defender stated: "You always have to consider whether you are ready to take the next step. But at the moment I am not thinking about it.

"I think what we have to do at FC Koln is enough. I also have with the national team a big tournament ahead of us.”

When asked whether he would consider a transfer if Klopp was to make a move for him, he responded by saying: "Then I would start to think about it."

Liverpool fans most definitely won't be getting too excited at this stage, but the addition of Hector would prove quite the coup for the club.
