Paul Ruffy from @Matchdayprofits tweeted to say that while he had advised peopled to lay Germany, his friend went one step further.
He accompanied his tweet with a screenshot showing a £40 bet on a 3-2 England win, placed shortly after Kane’s strike.
This ended up netting Paul’s brave mate a cool £1,640 (including the £40 stake) in return.
Below it was a separate £5 bet for the same outcome - England to win by three goals to two - and this earned him an additional £205.

One can only imagine how he celebrated Jamie Vardy’s magnificent equaliser on the 75th minute.
And just when it looked like the game would finish all square, up popped Eric Dier with a thumping header to win the match for England.

Describing it as his “finest night as England manager”, a delighted Hodgson now hopes his team are able to replicate this level of performance on a consistent basis, ahead of Euro 2016.
"It is a friendly game and we have got an awful long way to go before we can claim to be anything like Germany with all they have achieved," the England boss was quoted as saying by BBC Sport after the match.
"You always hope your best night's ahead of you.
"I'm rather hoping there'll be one of them ahead of me. But best night so far? Yes, why not. I'll give you that one."
