When you’re a defender and you’re about to face Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, you need confidence - and lots of it.

What you don’t need is to be humiliated by one of your teammates in training, just one day before facing the so-called ‘MSN’.

Unfortunately for Sergio Ramos, that’s exactly what happened in Real Madrid training on Friday.

Some of the stars were taking part in a rondo - a typical training drill where two players attempt to intercept passes from their teammates.

Jese was casually playing around with the ball when Ramos decided to dive into a tackle.

But the Spaniard rolled the ball through Ramos’ open legs to leave him extremely embarrassed.

Despite the ball being intercepted, the Madrid players reacted brilliantly by mocking Ramos for being shown up.

Barcelona’s attacking trident will be licking their lips ahead of Saturday’s El Clasico.

The Catalan club know that a victory will end Madrid’s faint title hopes and put them 14 points clear of their rivals.

They will also be hoping to complete a league double after they thrashed Los Blancos 4-0 at the Bernabeu in November.

Luis Enrique’s side are also on course to complete an unprecedented second consecutive treble. They are within touching distance of winning La Liga, in the final of the Copa de Rey while they face Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Madrid’s only realistic chance of silverware comes in the form of the European competition after they were expelled from the cup for fielding an ineligible player.

However, Zinedine Zidane’s players will fancy their chances of beating Wolfsburg to progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
