Gerard Pique trolled by Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister after El Clasico

Before Saturday’s Clasico, Gerard Pique was answering questions about whether or not firm favourites Barcelona could record another ‘manita’ - another 5-0 win - against Real Madrid.

And the floodgates were in danger of opening at the Camp Nou after Pique himself scored the opening goal, heading home Ivan Rakitic’s corner on the 56th minute.

However, goals from Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo turned the game on its head and sealed 10-man Real Madrid their first league victory at the home of their fierce rivals since April 2012.

Pique wouldn’t have missed out on the opportunity to tweet something smug or cryptic had his goal proved decisive - the centre-back has history for it - but he was forced to keep quiet after Real Madrid’s shock comeback.

Instead, Pique found himself on the receiving end of a trolling tweet, from none other than Ronaldo’s sister.

Cristiano Ronaldo's sister's tweet

“I wonder if Gerard Pique will Periscope today?” Katia Aveiro tweeted. “With you it all started no? #Who knows.”

Pique loves a bit of Periscope

Pique has been all over Periscope in recent weeks, hence the reference to the live video-streaming app.

During the international break, he recorded a Periscope session with his Spanish teammate Cesc Fabregas, who confidentially predicted Barcelona would beat Real Madrid 2-0.

Pique is not one to resist responding to a trolling tweet, so keep your eyes peeled for a reply from the 29-year-old Catalan.
