Assessing the chances of each star in the Intercontinental Championship ladder match

At Wrestlemania 32, the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line in a seven-man ladder match. The reigning champion, Kevin Owens will have to defend the belt against The Miz, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Stardust, Sin Cara and Zack Ryder.

Despite the fact that the bout itself is going to feature many exciting moments with high-flying moves from ladders and a lot of brutalities, several fans have also voiced dissatisfaction.

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view event back in January appeared to be planting the seed's for a WrestleMania match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Now, many people believe that this match is still between Owens and Zayn and the other competitors are just there.

There are a few wrestlers in contention for the Intercontinental Championship that just don't seem to have any chance of winning.

Firstly, Sin Cara. He has never won a main roster WWE championship despite matches for the United States Championship, Intercontinental Championship and Tag Team Championship's in the past.

Ladder matches often feature high-flying superstars in order to create memorable spots and that is where Sin Cara will come into play. It's more likely that he'll play the job of "spot monkey."

The character of Stardust has never won a championship in WWE. Although Cody Rhodes, a former character of Stardust, has won the Intercontinental Championship twice and has four Tag Team Championships, the Stardust persona hasn't had the same amount of success.

It's very unlikely that Stardust will win at WrestleMania considering the lack of build and momentum his character has.

Zack Ryder is a man who has certainly divided the WWE Universe with his entrance into the match.

Originally, it was the plan for Neville to be part of the ladder match but plans were changed when Neville got injured on a previous edition of Monday Night RAW. While Ryder is simply a replacement, people are of the belief that Ryder could perhaps use this opportunity and take advantage of it to win the title.

This does, however, seem very unlikely as once again, there has been little build or momentum for him leading into the event.

Several people have questioned whether Dolph Ziggler should have a spot on the WrestleMania card. After losing a match with Triple H, it looked as if Ziggler would be sitting this year's Wrestlemania out.

This was until the next week when he engaged in the Intercontinental Championship scene. It seems that Ziggler is in the match to make up the numbers as he's already had many chances at Owens and the championship, being unsuccessful in each.

Also in the match is The Miz, a man who has won the Intercontinental Championship four times already.

Although The Miz is one of the wrestlers who actually have a legitimate story with Kevin Owens, as the champion kept walking out on him, it seems that Miz is also there just to make up the numbers similar to Dolph Ziggler's role.

A lot of people, with good reason, have written everyone off except for Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

That is of course where the actual feud really is. Both men have got an even chance of winning with Kevin Owens being the champion hoping to make an impact at his first WrestleMania, and Sami Zayn being the new guy to the roster hoping to make a huge statement.

It's 50/50 right now in terms of predicting between Zayn and Owens.

History would, however, point towards a Sami Zayn victory as he is the underdog going against the champion.

Furthermore, the heel champion in Kevin Owens has been bragging about making this Sunday "KOMania" and it's the role of the face wrestler to "shut the heel up" and it appears that it will be the same on Sunday at Wrestlemania 32.
