Roman Reigns issues a WWE title challenge to The Rock and John Cena

Roman Reigns won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship last night after defeating Triple H in the main event of WrestleMania 32.

The Big Dog finally got his WrestleMania moment by winning the title for the third time in his career, although it wasn't received well by the WWE Universe, as a large majority booed continuously throughout the final match of the night.

This led to the WWE turning off microphones in the crowd so that the fans watching at home couldn't hear the boos inside the stadium. As expected, though, fans in attendance reacted negatively to the decision of Reigns becoming champion.

If the company has their way, Reigns will be the face of the WWE for many years to come. To start off his road to becoming eventually adored by the WWE Universe, the new champion has listed potential first opponents on the TODAY show.

When he was asked who was next for him, The Big Dog said: "Anybody and everybody...WrestleMania is full of superstars, A-listers, we had The Rock, we had John Cena there. If they want some. Hey John Cena, the champ is here."

Could either The Rock or John Cena be potential challengers for Roman Reigns in what could be his first proper long title reign? Perhaps.

The Rock is only a part-timer, and with how his Hollywood career is going, it is unlikely he will be competing for the title anytime soon. SummerSlam or during WrestleMania season next year might be the ideal time for that feud to take place.

After all, WrestleMania 33 is taking place in Orlando, Florida, which is The Great One's billed home state, and it is the actual home state of Reigns. The potential for this match to take place is there, especially with the family connection too.

As for Cena, that is a feud which could take place immediately and culminate with either Cena winning another WWE World Heavyweight Championship at or before SummerSlam later this year, making him a 16-time World Champion.

Another world title win for Cena would level him with Ric Flair, who is recognised by the WWE as the superstar who has held the most world titles in history. This is one of the last feats the leader of the Cenation has to conquer before he retires, and he is likely to surpass this target before he calls it a day.

WWE might be on the verge of running this storyline, as it would be a good way to help cement Reigns over with the fans if he stops Cena from winning. Triple H will likely call for his rematch first, which he should lose, but then the door should open for a Cena vs Reigns feud for the summer months.

We'll have to tune into Monday Night Raw tonight to see if anyone, including The Rock or Cena, will answer Reigns' challenge for a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
