Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that Jose Mourinho will be a success anywhere he coaches.

As reported by The Sun, the enigmatic forward, who found the back of the net as PSG drew 2-2 with Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night, has also insisted that he respects Mourinho.

Ibrahimovic worked under the guidance of Mourinho at Inter Milan and it appears that they hold a fine relationship.

The Portuguese tactician has been without a job since he was dismissed as manager of Chelsea back in December, but he has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United recently.

With Louis van Gaal's long-term future at Old Trafford uncertain, it appears that the Red Devils could yet turn to the revered coach.

United, of course, have also been credited with an interest in Ibrahimovic, who runs out of contract in the French capital at the end of the season.

Mourinho and Ibrahimovic arriving in Manchester would most definitely change the dynamic of the club, but there could yet be a number of twists in both sagas.

Ibrahimovic on Mourinho

But it's clear for all to see that Ibrahimovic holds Mourinho in high regard. The Sweden captain stated: “Jose will be a success anywhere he coaches, that is just the man he is.

“I respect him because he says whatever he wants, but when you listen to him what he says is always right.

“Of course he is a coach that has much knowledge, but it is more than that, he also really cares.

“That is why players who play for him are ready to die for him. He cares, so you care.”

Premier League move

It has been well documented that Ibrahimovic has never starred in the Premier League, but it appears that he could finally complete a move to the division ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

He certainly hasn't failed to rule out a move to England's elite division. Ibrahimovic, speaking to Shortlist, added: “I will always have offers, and England is one of the countries that I have those offers from.

“It is a very important league, but I have always said that the summer is the time to sit down and look at offers.

“For now we (PSG) have already won the league and now it is time to fight for the Champions League.

“That is the belief and that is the ambition of the club. It is never easy, but we can win it.”
