When Jamie Vardy scored his 20th Premier League goal of the season in Leicester's crucial game against Sunderland on Sunday afternoon, it is safe to say half of the people in the city were jumping for joy.

The goal earned the Foxes their fifth straight win and took them 10 points clear of Tottenham with just five games remaining. They are now the outright favourites for the title and fans cannot contain themselves.

But one fan took his celebrations to another level entirely. It was so mental, in fact, that it is currently going viral on Twitter. The funny thing is, we don't even know his name or even what he looks like.

All we know is his girlfriend – possibly ex-girlfriend now – is called Alice White. Her tweet, published just before 3pm, has already conjured almost 6,000 retweets and another 6,000 likes. You are about to find out why.

Any football fan would be able to understand what must have been going through his head and there will be plenty of Leicester fans willing to help him find a new girlfriend.

If you find it hard to imagine, we have the perfect example for you...

The game

The first half was as boring as anything as both Leicester and Sunderland sized each other up, but Vardy's incessant running eventually paid off in the 66th minute as he latched onto a lovely through-ball from Danny Drinkwater to bury a curling effort past Vito Mannone.

He would later add a second deep into injury time, taking himself to within one goal of the Premier League's top scorer Harry Kane.
