Josh Gordon fails another NFL drugs test

Football News

The Cleveland Browns are a franchise with a lot of problems right now and unfortunately for them, that doesn't show any signs of ending.

The Browns have a new head coach this year in the form of Hue Jackson but the new coach has a lot of issues to deal with before the start of the season.

Another failed test

The Browns quarterback position has been their biggest story this off-season but it now looks like they could be in real trouble at the wide receiver position.

With the team releasing Dwayne Bowe after just a year and Travis Benjamin moving to the San Diego Chargers, their receiver core looks to be in real trouble.

One big hope for the team was the possible return of suspended receiver Josh Gordon who hasn't played since 2014.

But those hopes look to have been ended following reports today that Gordon has failed yet another NFL administered drugs test.

Gordon supposedly tested positive for Marijuana and dilute which is considered a failure by NFL regulations.

Gordon has been suspended since last February and it is a widely shared belief around the NFL fan base that he may never return.

Gordon's latest setback to his return now makes the situation for the Browns even worse, but makes the second pick in this year's draft even more interesting.

Who to pick

While the majority of the off-season so far has been speculating that the Browns are primed to draft a quarterback with the second overall pick in the draft, could today's reveal have changed that plan?

The Browns picked up free agent quarterback Robert Griffin III earlier in the off-season so it is now entirely possible that they could draft a wide receiver rather than a quarterback.

It looks like 2016 could be another bad year for Browns fans, but a lot of their hopes will rest on the shoulders of RGIII who will be trying to salvage his NFL career in Cleveland.
