LeBron James is an old-school, fierce competitor and is never more so than around NBA playoff season.

He's a big game player and he thrives in the business end of the season. However, he has also showcased some other curious habits this season.

The 31-year-old has seemingly enjoyed churning the rumour mill with several cryptic twitter posts throughout the season, on top of taking a mid-season work out with old friend and former teammate Dwyane Wade.

However, now that the playoffs are upon us and the Cleveland Cavaliers are set to battle the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the Eastern Conference postseason, King James is getting in the zone.

A part of that, apparently, is going radio silent on Twitter. As you can see from the post below, the four-time MVP informed the world this morning that he is going to stay mute for the foreseeable future while the Cavs playoff run ensues.

The seventh-seeded Indiana Pacers managed to score a victory on the road over the second-seeded Toronto Raptors in the first game of the this year's playoffs.

Add in the fact that the Pistons and Cavaliers hold a record of 2-2 after their regular season battles, James knows this game will be far from a formality.
