Daniel Sturridge could be deadly against Everton this week

Football News

Coming off the back of an intense weekend of Premier League football, the midweek action promises to be just as lively.

Sparks are expected to fly, as always, between Liverpool and Everton, while the battle for the Champions League also heats up. Manchester United can stake their claim for a top four spot, but of course, for the players of United, Crystal Palace, Everton and Watford, this represents one last chance to cement their place in the starting line-ups for the weekend's FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley.

As part of our partnership with DraftKings, we're taking a closer look at two players who could light it up this week - Daniel Sturridge and Marcus Rashford. Let the battle commence.

Daniel Sturridge, $5,500 (Liverpool @ Everton), vs. Marcus Rashford, $5,700 (Manchester United @ Crystal Palace)

There's no doubt Marcus Rashford is setting the Premier League alight, but Daniel Sturridge is the more proven striker, and he outscored his young rival by 10 DraftKings points last weekend with a superb performance against Bournemouth.

Despite an injury-wrecked season, Sturridge has scored nine times for Liverpool. Rashford, of course, only broke into the team in the latter half of the season, but Palace may set out to contain him, as he is United's main attacking threat.

Sturridge will be part of a Liverpool side with a lot going forward, so there is less chance that he will be marked out of the game by Everton.

He also edges it on shots at goal, which could see him nudge in front of Rashford on points for shots on target.

Could Marcus Rashford be better than Daniel Sturridge one day?
