Almen Abdi could be a standout performer this week

Coming off the back of an intense weekend of Premier League football, the midweek action promises to be just as lively.

Sparks are expected to fly, as always, between Liverpool and Everton, while the battle for the Champions League also heats up.

Manchester United can stake their claim for a top four spot, but of course, for the players of United, Crystal Palace, Everton and Watford, this represents one last chance to cement their place in the starting line-ups for the weekend's FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley.

As part of our partnership with DraftKings, we're shining the spotlight on a series of players who will dazzle on the big stage tonight - starting with Almen Abdi.

Almen Abdi $2,600 (West Ham @ Watford)

Watford will have Almen Abdi back from illness for their clash with West Ham, and he could make a huge difference in what will be a tightly-contested midfield battle.

Although tackles earn just +1 point each, put that together with +1 for crosses, and Abdi should quickly start to rack up the points.

The combination of these strengths makes him very difficult to get the ball off, and so a few points for fouls drawn are not out of the question either. Add that up and Abdi could be a good, sneaky outside pick from nowhere.

The 29-year-old creates an average of nearly two chances-per-game, so there is always an opportunity for him to deliver an all-important assist. Watford might be safe, and might may equally have one eye on Wembley, but Abdi is not one to back out of a tackle, and he is equally promising when linking up with Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo.

Can Watford turn things around and finish the season on a high?
