Finn Balor claims that he is staying in NXT

The WWE Universe was in shock last week after the surprise upset that saw Samoa Joe leave and NXT Live event with the NXT Championship.

Joe brought to an end the longest NXT Title reign in history by defeating Finn Balor and has in the process, started a lot of rumours.

Making a move?

It is common practice in NXT for a superstar that after losing a championship, they soon make the move up to the main roster.

Therefore it shouldn't be much of a surprise to see Balor trade in Full Sail Arena for the brighter lights of Monday Night RAW.

However if the now former NXT Champion is to be believed, that isn't set to become a reality any time soon.

At another NXT Live event on Saturday night, Balor competed in the main event against Samoa Joe and Austin Aries.

Following the match, Balor delivered a promo that ensured the NXT fans in attendance that he would be staying on the developmental brand.

Balor has been quoted in the pastas saying that he prefers NXT to the WWE's main stream programming.

His recent speech seems to hint that he will be remaining on NXT for the time being, but that may not necessarily mean that he won't be appearing on RAW and Smackdown.

Reunited with a certain club?

It has almost become a tradition now that NXT talent moving up to the main roster will remain on both promotions until they are officially established amongst the non- NXT fans.

Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and more recently Baron Corbin have all appeared on NXT after making their main roster debuts.

If Balor does arrive on the main roster soon, everyone will be watching to see if he will link up with new main roster additions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson - former members of the Bullet Club.

The fabled Bullet Club were already seen catching up with AJ Styles on RAW last week but could a reunion with another of their former leaders be on the cards soon?
