After losing his NXT title to Samoa Joe at a live event in Lowell on Thursday, Finn Balor teased the crowds waiting outside by shouting 'See you all on Monday', clearly hinting that his long-awaited main roster debut was imminent.

At the live event in Poughkeepsie on Saturday he retracted his statement and told fans, during an in-ring promo, that he was staying in NXT and wants a rematch with Samoa Joe.

Of course, Balor is known to enjoy tormenting the fans. He spent several weeks before Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson's appearance on RAW adding to the speculation about their appearance.

Most fans have long since given up reading anything into his teasers. There's little doubt that Balor is heading for the main roster, and probably sooner rather than later. But when will be the right time for his debut to take place?

The key lies in Anderson and Gallows. Much attention has been paid to the history between them, admittedly most of it by Balor himself, but this wouldn't have been sanctioned by WWE if it wasn't going to be important to the storyline.

The fact Gallows and Anderson debuted on RAW rather than NXT is another pointer that their former stable-mate and leader is on his way. Trouble is they've only had one match so far on Monday Night RAW, against the Uso's on Monday.

Casual fans have been told enough to know that these two are big news, but they need a little time to get established before adding in the potential complication of Balor and their shared past. There is also the matter of Anderson and Gallows' relationship with AJ Styles.

AJ Styles joined Bullet club after Prince Devitt left to become Finn Balor. Neither Balor nor Styles' departure from Bullet club was without complication, so there is likely unfinished business between them and Anderson and Gallows as well as friendship and respect.

Balor and Styles never worked together or fought each other, I can find no record of them having shared a ring. There is obvious feud potential, and equally obvious alliance potential for them somewhere down the line. It could all get very complicated.

Once Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and AJ Styles have made the nature of their relationship clear, something I strongly suspect will happen at WWE Payback, there will be one less hurdle to Balor's arrival.

It is widely expected that Finn Balor will have his rematch against Samoa Joe at the NXT TakeOver event on June 8. The next NXT tapings are due this week which will take them up to TakeOver. It seems likely that Finn Balor will be part of those. There is also a UK tour immediately after TakeOver, it remains to be seen whether Balor is a part of that.

If Balor debut's on RAW (or as, some are speculating, at Payback) before the rematch with Samoa Joe it will take some of the interest out of that match. It is unlikely the champ would drop the title to someone already appearing on the main roster. Until the main roster debut occurs there is still a possibility Balor may have another, short, title run before departing for good.

There are certainly big things waiting for Finn Balor as part of the main roster. His debut should get the hype and attention it deserves. With so much going on in the post-WrestleMania storyline it would seem a shame for WWE to waste such a high point in the chaos.

That said, things change fast in the WWE universe and the fans will be ready to welcome Finn Balor whenever he arrives.
