Brendan Rodgers prepares for management return with boxing training

Football News

Brendan Rodgers has been out of work since October, following his sacking at Liverpool, but he will return to football management next season.

This is according to London-based personal trainer Bradley Simmons, who has posted a glorious video of the Northern Irish coach boxing - yes, boxing - while a Kanye West - yes, Kanye West - track plays over the top.

You’re not doing much to help shake off those David Brent comparisons, Brendan. (Scroll down to see the video).

“Brendan Rodgers putting in that work with me at 6.45am this morning,” Simmonds wrote on Instagram. “I’ve been training Brendan for the past 10 weeks now, a brilliant client who I'd happily set my alarm for at 5.30am 👊🏼“

“I beasted Brendan today starting with a 20 minute fast run around his amazing neighbourhood before getting the gloves on. Looking forward to sharing his 12 week transformation in the next couple of weeks as he prepares to get back into football managment next season ⚽️“

Rodgers heading back to Swansea?

It’s currently unclear where Rodgers will be managing next, although the Daily Mail reported last week that the 43-year-old is closing in on a return to Swansea City.

Francesco Guidolin is expected to leave the Liberty Stadium at the end of the season, paving the way for Rodgers to return - four years after he left the Welsh outfit.

Personally, we can’t wait to see Brendan back in the big time - especially if it means more boxing videos being uploaded to social media beforehand.
