Memphis Depay sparks transfer rumours with strange Instagram behaviour

Memphis Depay arrived at Manchester United tipped to become the next Cristiano Ronaldo. He had just won the Eredivisie with PSV Eindhoven and picked up the league's golden boot in the process.

But while he obviously had the ability to match a young Ronaldo, he also had the ego of a man who had already won it all. The Premier League has since knocked the overconfidence out of the young Dutchman.

So underwhelming has his debut season as a Red Devil been, the winger has been linked with a summer exit and appears to have taken a significant step towards the Old Trafford door. Well, at least as far as Instagram goes.

The 22-year-old has taken some strange moves on his account today, deleting all but one of his posts as well as any suggestion that he is still a Manchester United player. He has also unfollowed all of his club team-mates on Twitter, although he does still follow the club's account.
