Leicester City can make Premier League history against Manchester United today. They stand on the brink with a win at Old Trafford meaning they'll seal the first title in the club's history.

Even if the Foxes don't manage to beat Louis van Gaal's men, they will have two more bites at the cherry and could even win it on Monday evening – Tottenham play Chelsea away and will have to better Leicester's result to stay within reach.

Needless to say, Leicester are now the heavy favourites to win with even the most generous bookies only able to offer 1/20. Having been 5,000/1 to win it at the start of the season, it is safe to say that those with bet slips are feeling confident.

Ladbrokes claim that 22 people currently have open bets, placed in pre-season, on Leicester winning the title with the biggest being an incredible £20 (£100,000 payout). However, at the start of Sunday, it had been 24.

The bookmakers have confirmed that two fans decided to cash in on their £1 bets in the hours leading up to the game at Old Trafford with both taking home a not-too-shabby £4,381. That means they have sacrificed £619 in potential winnings but can anyone really blame them?

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: ”It looks like pre-match nerves have set in for two Leicester fans. Their side may look home and hosed but should the unthinkable happen they’ve still got several thousand in the bank.”

There are, however, a group of visionaries still holding out for their full winnings. One such person is 20-year-old supporter Karishma Kapoor, who has been offered £9,000 right now on the £2 bet she placed at the start of the season.

She said: "I'm not nervous at all. I'm buzzing for the game and I'm confident we'll do it, probably today but if not then Chelsea will definitely do us a favour."
