Poor old Adnan Januzaj.

The talented young Belgian has endured a rough couple of seasons under Louis van Gaal and suffered arguably his lowest moment as a Manchester United player during the Red Devils’ 1-0 victory over Norwich City this afternoon.

Van Gaal asked Januzaj to get ready to come on; however, the veteran Dutch coach told him to sit back down on the bench - not once but twice - opting to bring on Morgan Schneiderlin and Timothy Fosu-Mensah instead.

It must have been a rather humiliating experience for Januzaj, who tried his best to put on a brave face.

United’s players, however, certainly saw the funny side - particularly Anthony Martial, who was creasing up with laughter. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

Important win for Man Utd

United won a dull encounter 1-0, with Juan Mata scoring the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute.

Louis van Gaal’s side are now just one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal with two matches remaining.

The Red Devils finish their Premier League campaign with matches against West Ham and Bournemouth on Tuesday and Sunday, respectively.
