A horrible accident occurred at Payback a few weeks ago, as Enzo Amore picked up a concussion during his match alongside Big Cass against The Vaudevillians to determine who would be the number one contender for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Amore is being sidelined for a little while longer for safety precautions after banging his head really hard against the ring mat and the ground outside the ring during the clash, and he may be out of action for a couple more weeks just so that the company can be sure.
But while one door closes on Enzo Amore and Big Cass capturing the tag team titles, another door opens, as recent rumors have suggested Cass may still benefit from being on his own while Amore is away.

Daily Wrestling News have reported: "This probably won’t come as a surprise to most but Vince McMahon is said to be very high up on Big Cass right now.
"It’s been noted in the past that Vince liked Cass but it’s been discussed among employees a lot more lately. One source commented that he hoped Cass being booked strong on his own and impressing officials didn’t lead to bad things for Enzo Amore, who is currently sidelined with a concussion. We’ve also noted how Vince and other officials were very high up on Enzo.
"Regarding the ring name for Cass, there’s a rumor that he could end up with the name Colin Cass. Vince has been going back and forth on using Big Cass or Colin Cassady as they have issues with using a name that close to Big E."
The name change shouldn't bother that many fans - and there really isn't that much of a problem with it - but they can be excited by the fact Vince McMahon is actually behind a star out of NXT.
McMahon isn't usually behind that many NXT superstars once they are promoted onto the main roster. Look at Tyler Breeze, Bo Dallas, The Ascension, and many more superstars that have struggled to make an impact. There aren't many that can truly say they have reached the top on the main roster.
Yet, this is promising news if true for Cass, and you can see why Vince may like him. He has the big build he likes in a top superstar, and also he isn't that bad when it comes to promos. He did great with Chris Jericho this week on Raw. Just a bit of polishing here and there along with a singles title as well as the tag team championship with Enzo and he could be a top star within the company.
For the time being, though, let Big Cass build himself alongside Enzo Amore as a dominant tag team in the WWE. Give them a run as tag team champions before splitting them up. Both of them could become big singles stars within the company. They're already half way there with the crowd on their side, chanting their catchphrases.
