Football News

West Ham fans didn’t exactly cover themselves in glory on what was meant to be a special night for the club.

Before the match some of them were filmed throwing bottles at the Manchester United coach as it made its way into the Boleyn Ground. Footage emerged from both inside and outside the coach of the incident, which contributed towards the delayed kick-off.

And during the match, David de Gea had water bottled thrown at him by West Ham supporters from the Bobby Moore stand following Anthony Martial’s first goal. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

Footage from the stands shows a bottle being thrown at the Spanish goalkeeper while he kicked another off the pitch.

De Gea celebrated wildly for both of Martial’s goals but ended up red-faced after he failed to keep out Winston Reid’s late header.

United thought they had three precious points wrapped up, only for Michail Antonio and Reid to turn the match on its head with two goals inside four minutes.

Reid, with his late winner, becomes the player to score the last-ever goal at the Boleyn Ground.

West Ham leave their current home for the Olympic Stadium this summer.
