Manchester United's Premier League clash against Bournemouth has been abandoned after the discovery of a suspicious package at Old Trafford.

Police are currently investigating the situation at the Theatre of Dreams after the security alert, but Wayne Rooney and co. will not be playing today.

It's certainly understandable that the game has been abandoned as it would be foolish to take any risks at this stage.

One thing is for sure, Wayne Rooney and co. will not be playing in front of their fans today. That, of course, means that their final Premier League fixture will have to be rescheduled.

United, then, will be watching proceedings at the Liberty Stadium, where Manchester City are currently taking on Swansea City.

A victory for City will finish any hopes the Red Devils had of securing a place in the top four of the Premier League.

As it stands, City are in control of proceedings and lead Swansea by one goal to nil thanks to a goal from talented striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
