It's safe to say that no one saw horror show in the second-half of their Europa League semi-final coming.

Jurgen Klopp's side led 1-0 at half-time against Spanish outfit Sevilla - Daniel Sturridge scored a glorious goal with the outside of his foot for the Reds - but they endured a torrid final 45 minutes of proceedings.

Indeed, Sevilla came to life and punished Liverpool with three well-taken goals. It was Gameiro who equalised for the La Liga club after some poor play from Reds defender Alberto Moreno, while Coke struck twice to put Unai Emery's side firmly in control of proceedings.

As mentioned, then, Moreno was at fault as Brazilian full-back Mariano put the ball through his legs and crossed in for Gameiro to tap home.

Sevilla's opening goal, of course, came just seconds after the start of the second half and it's safe to say that Moreno wasn't entirely switched on.

Moreno nightmare

In all honesty, as the second period continued, Moreno failed to produce the goods and continued to struggle defensively.

Ultimately, he was caught out of position on too many occasions and it cost Liverpool as they fell at the final hurdle and were beaten by three goals to one.

As you can imagine, Liverpool fans didn't hold back on social media when analysing Moreno's performance.
