After landing in London to complete a medical at Arsenal's London Colney training ground on Friday, it seems Granit Xhaka's move to the Emirates Stadium is all but complete.

The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder has long been on the Gunners' radar and been linked with a £25 million move.

And now, images have surfaced online of Xhaka posing in what appears to be Arsenal's new home strip (see below).

Cue hysteria amongst the club's fans, who will be delighted by the quality of their first summer signing. Scroll down to also see a collection of Twitter reactions.

Xhaka is one of Europe's most highly-rated central midfielders and will add both creativity and steel in front of Arsenal's back four.

His supposed move to north London will mean the Gunners have six midfielders to chose from, including Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla, Mohamed Elneny and Aaron Ramsey.

Manager Arsene Wenger will have quite the selection dilemma on his hands next season should he opt against selling any of them this summer.

Xhaka's arrival will also go some way towards convincing star duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez that Arsenal are heading in the right direction amidst their desire to win the Premier League.
