Trickett-Smith could potentially appear against the Liverpool U-21s as they embark on their USA tour and face his new side within the space of four days.

Although Klopp has vowed to produce quality over quantity through the Reds' youth system, the German has given a number of first-team opportunities to youngsters this season.

Kevin Stewart, who was released by Spurs before joining Liverpool, has come into the side on numerous occasions under Klopp's management this season and looks to be a calm and composed holding midfielder.

Stewart is not the only youngster to impress with the likes of Cameron Brannagan, Sheyi Ojo and Brad Smith all performing well when called upon this season.

Jordon Ibe could fall into the trap of being over-hyped from a young age like Trickett-Smith but the former is beginning to establish himself as a regular squad player for Liverpool which is something the latter was never able to accomplish in his short Anfield career.
