Arsenal fans have been desperately seeking assurances over Alexis Sanchez’s future recently following rumours he is unhappy at the Emirates Stadium.

The Chilean enjoyed another fine individual campaign in north London but expressed frustration at a lack of silverware.

As a result, speculation has suggested a move to Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich or even Manchester City could be in the offing.

However, according to Chile legend Ivan Zamorano, Sanchez is “rediscovering his happiness” at Arsenal.

He said, per The Sun: “I think that Alexis is rediscovering his happiness. He looks like a happy guy at Arsenal.

“Wenger has squeezed him and he has taken the best of Alexis. This is very important, because when he comes on the pitch motivated, he makes the difference.”

Zamorano also hailed his countryman as one of the Premier League’s finest.

“Sanchez is the best Arsenal player and one of the best forwards in the Premier League," he added. "That means that he is working really well.

“He is still very young and I think that he still has to give a bonus to become the best player in the world.

“He is working on that daily. He is significant for Arsenal and for the national team.”

Forty-two goals and 22 assists in two seasons at the Emirates Stadium is a fine return, suggesting Arsenal must do all they can to convince him to stay this summer.
