Liverpool have made Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell a priority transfer target and are set to enter negotiations over his signature within days.

This has been reported by the Telegraph, who claim that the Merseyside outfit are keen to sign the England U21 international ahead of rivals Arsenal, who have also been credited with an interest in the talented player recently.

Chilwell, 19, failed to make a Premier League appearance for the Foxes during their title-winning campaign but is recognised as one of the most promising young full-backs in England.

That's why, then, Reds chief Klopp is seemingly determined to bring him to Merseyside ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

It's safe to say that the Liverpool faithful are hoping to see Spaniard Alberto Moreno replaced after his dismal performance during the club's Europa League loss at the hands of Sevilla on Wednesday. Moreno was the subject of criticism after making a number of key errors during the showdown in Switzerland.

Liverpool potential signings

With the signing of Chilwell possible, Liverpool fans will also be hoping to see Bayern Munich playmaker Mario Gotze arrive this summer.

The Germany international has long been linked with a move to Anfield and would represent a major coup for Klopp in his pursuit of success on English soil. This summer looks set to be a fascinating one for all involved.

Klopp will be determined to get it right as he goes about changing the dynamic of his side.
