Featuring a highly combustible main event of Roman Reigns  vs AJ Styles for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the fans got more than they bargained for.

Reigns would win the match despite taking a lot of punishment from Styles, but the real excitement came once the bell rang to end the match.

While Reigns held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship high above his head, he was the victim of a savage attack by a familiar face.

His former Shield Brother Seth Rollins took the opportunity to announce his return to WWE by attacking the champion after a gruelling match.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion made a beeline for the man now holding the title that he never lost.

It seems that a feud between the two Shield members is imminent with Extreme Rules going off the air showing Rollins holding the title belt.

Since Rollins never actually lost his title, he will surely be on the hunt for it once again, and the fans were sure glad to see him back.

It was a thrilling end to what had been a largely predictable show but in his 30 second appearance, Rollins managed to change everything and RAW tomorrow night should be very eventful.

A good night for the Champions

Extreme Rules saw all but one title successfully defended as Reigns kept hold of his title, The Miz regained the Intercontinental belt and Charlotte defeated Natalya to keep hold of the Women's Championship.

The New Day also used the numbers game to overcome the Vaudevillains and keep their lengthy reign as Tag Team Champions going.

The one defeated champion was Kalisto who lost the United States Championship in a very brutal way to Rusev.
