Rollins revealed that since he never lost the title and was instead forced to surrender it due to injury, that he intends on regaining his title.
After being confronted by his former Shield brother Reigns, Rollins would leave the ring and avoid a physical confrontation with the champion.
That was when Shane McMahon would come down to the ring and make a huge announcement.
McMahon acknowledged that the rivalry between the two Shield members has WrestleMania main event calibre.
While we are a long way away from WrestleMania however, the two were informed that they will clash for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV.
Reigns and Rollins have a lot of history - even after the Shield imploded, from the night that Rollins turned his back on one of the most dominant factions in WWE history to the time he cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 31.
Reigns has only just ended his rivalry with AJ Styles and now he will be set to take on a well rested and determined Seth Rollins.
Three weeks and counting
With less than a month until the Money in the Bank event, we can expect weeks of build up to not only the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, but the Money in the Bank ladder match too.
The annual event is one of the most anticipated of the year, and we already know five of the seven men who will compete for the briefcase.
Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens have progressed to the match with two more names yet to be added.
