Jurgen Klopp has already announced the signings of Joel Matip, Marko Grujic and Loris Karius ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window at the start of July.
But don’t be fooled in thinking that the German is going to stop there. He aims to turn this Liverpool squad into his own and there is likely to be plenty more arrivals on Merseyside before the start of next season.
All managers have a different way of convincing a player to join their club. In Klopp’s case, he likes to phone them personally in an attempt to persuade them to join him at Anfield.

And the Daily Mail are reporting that the former Borussia Dortmund man has dialled Ante Coric’s number and told him that he is interested in signing him.
It’s a tactic that Klopp used effectively with Grujic. The 20-year-old will join up with Liverpool from Red Star Belgrade in the coming months after the German charmed him over the phone.
“He called me one month [ago] on my phone and spoke to me very well,” Grujic said, per the Liverpool Echo.
“I was thinking about my progress in my next period and decided it was good for me to come here and try to be the best I can.
“Yes, [I was excited]. When I spoke with him directly I was a little nervous, but after two or three minutes it was okay. He made me feel at ease.”
And now it seems Coric is the latest to pick up the phone to Klopp. The 19-year-old midfielder, who plays for Dinamo Zagreb, is highly rated and has already attracted interest from Manchester City, Chelsea and Wolfsburg.
The Mirror claim that the attacking playmaker would set the Reds back around £11 million.
But Liverpool have seemingly only turned their attentions to Coric after their negotiations with Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski stalled. The Poland international seemed set for a move to Liverpool in a £10 million fee but his agent, Bartolomiej Bolek, revealed that the move is close to breaking down.
“Is the Liverpool move at risk? Yes, maybe,” said Bolek, per the Mirror. “It’s difficult to say. At the moment the lad is totally concentrated on the Euros.”
Klopp has identified the need to sign a new midfielder with doubts over Joe Allen’s future. The Welshman’s contract expires at the end of next season and he hinted that he could soon be leaving the club.
"I think it hinges on the pre-season plans and what exactly the club are hoping to do, everything comes into that," Allen explained.
"As a footballer you want to play every minute of every game. That's been the challenge for me."
