Cristiano Ronaldo spent Wolfsburg game looking at himself on big screens

Everyone loves a bit of Cristiano Ronaldo, including Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rumour has it that the Real Madrid superstar has a tendency to be a little vain from time to time. Now it's been resoundingly confirmed by Wolfsburg star Bruno Henrique, who played against the Portuguese earlier this season in the Champions League.

Wolfsburg won that game 2-0 in what was a major upset. It was also a defining moment in the career of Henrique, who only recently worked part-time as a receptionist.

Hilarious habit

His abiding memory, though, is of playing against Ronaldo, not only because of his prestige but because of one vain habit possessed by the Galactico.

He told "Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the biggest players in the world. I never imagined that one day I would be marking him. It was exciting.

"What I also saw differently is that he kept staring himself in the big screen the whole time!"

It's safe to say the experience of meeting Ronaldo lived up to expectations.

Staying humble

Unsurprisingly, Henrique was rather impressed by the football idol, as the Brazilian has not had such an easy ride.

He has revealed he went hungry and stayed in hostels while he was searching for a professional club, before eventually being snapped up by local club Cruzeiro.

Now with Wolfsburg, he has made a big impact on the Bundesliga, though it's clear his meek origins have kept him humble.

The same can't really be said of Ronaldo, but it's pretty hard to stay humble when you're arguably the best footballer in the world.
