It appears that dying your hair blonde is the new thing.

First, it was Samir Nasri but it took a while for it to really catch on.

But since Aaron Ramsey came out with his new look it’s snowballed. Phil Jones was seen in public with his new bleached hairstyle but one player we really didn’t expect to see with blonde hair is Marouane Fellaini.

The Manchester United midfielder is famous with his dark afro but he’s just posted a picture on his Twitter page of his new blonde hairstyle.

It’s certainly going to take a while to get used to it but it’s pretty obvious to see what Twitter makes of it. Fellaini was absolutely annihilated for his new look.

Here are some of the best tweets:

Pretty funny, right?

Of course, this isn’t the first time Fellaini’s hair has hit the headlines in recent weeks. During Manchester United’s Premier League fixture against Leicester in May, Robert Huth had a little tug of the midfielder’s hair which prompted Fellaini to lash out with an elbow and for Louis van Gaal to make the bizarre comment regarding “sex masochism.”

The incident led to both Huth and Fellaini receiving a three-match ban.

Fellaini is currently busy preparing for Belgium’s Euro 2016 campaign where the Red Devils are tipped to go far in the competition.

The likes of Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku could propel Belgium into the latter stages of the tournament but they will need to navigate a pretty difficult looking group first.

They face Italy, Sweden and Ireland in the group stages and will hope to be able to progress to the knock-out stages.

It’s unclear the role Fellaini will play for United next season after the arrival of Jose Mourinho. The Belgian was clearly liked by Van Gaal and it remains to be seen how he fits into the set-up at the Theatre of Dreams under Mourinho.

One thing is for sure, you won’t be able to miss Fellaini and his wacky new haircut this summer in France.
