France is considered to be one of the most talented sides because of their talented youthful players, but also the experienced expertise.

All the squads have now been finalised and are all making their way to France for the tournament, but here are five players that are left sitting at home after missing out for their respective nations.

Karim Benzema and Mathieu Valbuena

One player France will definitely be missing this summer is Karim Benzema. The Real Madrid forward is one of the most effective attackers for France, but there is a particular reason on why the striker missed out this summer.

Due to a complicated sex-tape scandal last year, both Benzema and Mathieu Valbuena are forbidden to have contact with each other, and as a result, Didier Deschamps decided to exclude both players from the national side.

France will certainly miss Valbuena as well, as he has played most of their matches since being included in the national team, playing 40 out of 41, and providing 15 assists for his teammates.

Not only that, Benzema has the most caps for France with 81 appearances, scoring 27 goals in the process.

Vincent Kompany

The Manchester City captain has struggled for game time this season due to knee injuries suffered over the course of the campaign.

In fact, lots of City fans would claim that had Kompany been fit for the majority of the Champions League this season, they could have gone on to win the majestic trophy.

Unfortunately for the Belgian, having suffered yet another injury, it predominately ruled the centre-back out for the competition in France this summer.

Belgium are one of the favourites to lift the trophy this summer, but will no doubt miss their captain in the latter rounds, should they progress that far.

However, with Tottenham Hotspur stars, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld excelling for the London side last season, Belgium look secure at the back and may not struggle without Kompany.

Santi Cazorla and Dani Carvajal

Riddled with injuries this season, Santi Cazorla will be a significant miss for Spain this summer.

In a way, it is logical for Vincente del Bosque to leave the Arsenal magician out of the side in France due to the player struggling for match fitness. Not only did Cazorla's absence affect Arsenal's title pursuit, the midfielder could struggle for form next season if his injuries catch up with him once again.

Another Spanish talent that will be missing this summer is Real Madrid's first choice right-back, Dani Carvajal.

The Spaniard was a key player for Los Blancos this season, as he helped the La Liga giants to a Champions League trophy.

However, when the Spanish defender pulled up in the final, the scan results of the injury highlighted he would be ruled out of the Euro 2016 tournament this summer.

These are just five talents that will be missing from the Euros this summer, but there are a whole host of star names not travelling.

Nevertheless, it promises to be a thrilling tournament with plenty of excitement.
