NXT Takeover The End has gone down as a rousing success and just another in a long line of thrilling Takeover events.

While the results on the night were largely predictable, one match caught everyone by surprise when it threw up a shock.

Moving up

The NXT Tag Team Championship match between the Revival and American Alpha saw Jason Jordan and Chad Gable lose their titles to the very two men they beat at Takeover Dallas to claim them in the first place.

The match between the four men was very entertaining and at the end, the Revival were left standing as the new champions.

It was a strange decision and one that left the fans in attendance confused following the resolution of the match.

However, reports today claim that unlike most other decisions in NXT, this one didn't come from the mind of Triple H.

It in fact came from Vince McMahon who has some big plans in store for American Alpha in the immediate future.

McMahon supposedly made the call because he wants the team to make the move up to the main roster in July.

When we see the brand split and RAW and Smackdown once again become completely separate, talent will be needed across the board so that there are enough faces to keep both sets of fans happy.
