Martin Skrtel was lucky to still be on the pitch for the second half after his mindless elbow in the opening 45 minutes of Saturday’s Euro 2016 clash between Slovakia and Wales.

The Slovakian defender made no attempt to play the ball and slammed his elbow right into the side of Jonny Williams’ head. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

Despite the fact the fifth official behind the goal could not have had a clearer view of the incident, a foul wasn’t given and Skrtel’s moment of madness subsequently went unpunished.
