Velvet Sky on possible WWE debut: "Never say never"

Velvet Sky is a former two-time TNA Knockouts Champion and a former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion. For the last few months, it has been speculated as to whether she will transition over to the WWE main roster or its developmental territories.

Following a brief appearance in an episode of Grims Toy Show on the vlogging channel, that speculation has now grown.

The host of the show, Grim, asked Velvet Sky about whether she will go to WWE or NXT following a brief joke about her current boyfriend, Bubba Ray Dudley.

Velvet Sky acknowledged the comment and responded with "Never say never". She has previously indicated that she would like to join WWE one day and that she believes she would be good on the roster if the opportunity ever arose.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Velvet had this to say about her thoughts on going to WWE:

"I think I would do well there. The women there are killing it, and empowering and building up the women would be a great role for me.

"Bayley is so much fun to watch wrestle. She has so much energy and passion, and the people feel her energy and feed off that. She's so great at expressing herself, and she's so genuine."

Her current partner is one-half of the Dudley Boys, Bubba Ray Dudley. He is a respected locker room veteran so a good reference from him would likely secure Velvet Sky a contract.

While it's possible that she could be a valet for the Dudley Boys, a singles career on her own would also be great to watch.

She has, as of right now, won ten wrestling championships. She has also accomplished things such as being ranked at Number 11 of the best 50 female singles wrestlers in the PWI Female 50 in 2013. She also won the award for 'Woman of the Year 2013' in Models Mania.

WWE is known to hire women based on their looks. Not only does Velvet have the good looks needed for WWE, but she also has the raw talent and ability to put on great matches. She's also proven to be quite a versatile character playing both face and heel roles.

With the WWE brand split coming up, it's unknown what will happen with the Women wrestlers and whether they will be split up. If this does happen, then it's likely that WWE will have to dip into the NXT roster in order to bulk up the brands.

In this case, it seems likely that WWE will be wanting to hire more female talent.
