Zlatan Ibrahimovic may well think he is on his way to Manchester United, confirming his apparent arrival at Old Trafford on his Instagram account on Thursday afternoon.

But the big wigs at the Premier League club may have been left scratching their heads at the sudden announcement, especially if the BBC's Simon Stone and Sky Sports are to be believed.

According to the former, Ibrahimovic is yet to pass a medical with the Red Devils while the latter claims he has not even agreed terms on his one-year contract. Basically, the deal is far from complete.

It leaves us baffled as to why Ibrahimovic would choose to announce it with such an underwhelming post on his Instagram account. In the post, which simply shows the famous United emblem, it read: "Time to let the world know. My next destination is @manchesterunited #iamcoming."

But here's what Sky Sports have had to say about it:

No problems

Manchester United fans panicking at the sight of those tweets should immediately stop. It is believed that all parties want to come to terms on a contract with Ed Woodward giving the green light for a deal worth £250,000-a-week over 12 months. It has also been suggested that the club will retain the option for another year.

There is also unlikely to be any problems with the medical. Despite Ibrahimovic closing in on the ripe old age of 35, he remains one of the fittest men in professional football. The Swede famously takes care of his body by practicing martial arts and has barely an injury to his name.

He played 47 games for PSG last season, scoring 50 goals and creating a further 16. Needless to say, no problems are expected.
