As reported by The Washington Times, the part-time WWE Superstar is going to headline the 2017 class of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
To any of the uninitiated, what that essentially means is that 'The People's Champ' is getting himself a star on one of the most famous streets on the planet.
Just when WWE and movie fans alike will be able to plan their trip to watch The Rock cast his hand print in the concrete is unclear at this stage.
As noted by Wrestling News Source, each of this year's nominees has up to five years to schedule their "star ceremony".
Talking of the other names to receive the honour this week, Johnson is joined by; Amy Adams, Jason Bateman, Goldie Hawn, Chris Pratt, Brett Ratner, Ryan Reynolds, George A. Romero, Mark Ruffalo and Rita Wilson.
That is a stellar cast in anyone's books, and Rocky is certainly deserving of his place.
Starring in the likes of San Andreas, Central Intelligence and the Fast & Furious franchise, he is one of the highest grossing actors working in Hollywood today.
His routes , though, will always be in wrestling, and the WWE Universe will make sure they are out in force when the Superstar takes his place alongside the great and the good of the entertainment business.
