Bret Hart says WWE is wasting Curtis Axel

The WWE has a history with talented superstars not getting the push they not only deserve, but that the fans really want to see.

Cody Rhodes, Damian Sandow amongst others are all former WWE stars who were never pushed enough to achieve their full potential while with the company.

Waiting for a push?

One superstar on the main roster who many feel deserves a bigger push is son of WWE Hall of Famer Mr Perfect, Curtis Axel.

Axel is a member of the Social Outcasts who haven't been seen on Monday Night Raw for a number of weeks.

Axel has now received endorsement from one of the greatest and most controversial characters in WWE history, Bret Hart.

The former face of the company was recently talking about the under utilised superstar on 'The Sharpshooter Podcast' and he showed a lot of admiration for Axel.

"He's every bit the athlete and the performer that his dad was. I just always thought that he was a little bit like Cody Rhodes where it's like they never quite gave him the right things to book him to be the star that he was." - Hart on Axel

A big endorsement from Hart could begin the WWE considering Axel for a push following the upcoming brand expansion.

Many feel that for a star like Curtis Axel to climb the rankings within WWE, he may require a new gimmick - something that could happen after the WWE Draft.

A new era

With the upcoming changes to be made to Smackdown and each show to display unique talent, several mid-card superstars could be set for a push to main event status.

The three members of the Shield are expected to be split up while names like Brock Lesnar and John Cena could find themselves anywhere.

Upcoming names like Kevin Owens, AJ Styles and Sami Zayn could be set for a big push when the brands split and the main event picture becomes a lot more open.
