Anthony Martial's ex-wife trolls his Euro 2016 performances

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial may well be recognised as one of the most exciting young players in world football, but it's fair to say that he has endured a fairly frustrating Euro 2016 campaign so far.

Indeed, after coming off the bench for the final 14 minutes of France's opening game against Romania, the forward was handed a start in the second game against Albania.

But that's where things started to go wrong for the talented front man. France manager Didier Deschamps opted to take him off at half-time and, ultimately, Martial hasn't been seen on the field of play since.

There's still time for the United man to make an impact at the tournament, of course - France are set to take on minnows Iceland in the quarter-finals of the competition on Sunday - but there are no guarantees that he will be handed a prominent role.

And things have just taken a turn for the worse for the aforementioned player. That's because his former wife, Samantha Helena, has taken to Instagram and she hasn't held back.

Texting battle

As you can see by the image below, she has revealed her text interaction with Martial's new girlfriend, Melanie Da Cruz.

So what has actually been said? Well, 101 GreatGoals have provided some context and it's all rather hilarious yet brutal nonetheless.

Indeed, his former wife accuses Da Cruz of 'opening your mouth on me', while she also calls her a 'prostitute'.

But that, quite incredibly, is not all. She tells his new girlfriend to 'encourage your man to perform at the euro rather than to show you… his c***'.

We told you she didn't hold back.

Can Martial still make an impact at Euro 2016? Have your say below!
