Football fans are fed up with listening to Robbie Savage

Wales and Belgium are playing out the best game we have seen at the European Championships so far. So you would expect that the stars would be all over the Internet right now.

So what do you think is currently topping Twitter's trending bar? How about Hal Robson-Kanu, who executed an incredible Cruyff turn to give Wales the lead in the second half? Or perhaps Radja Nainggolan, who buried a trademark howitzer from 35-yards out?

Nope. Neither of those. In fact, you can keep on guessing but you probably will not get it. That's because the top trend is not actually on the pitch but rather in the commentary box. His name is Robbie Savage.

The former Wales international was charged with the task of keeping neutral for the BBC as he commentated on quite possibly the biggest match in his country's footballing history. Quite frankly, he failed miserably and fans have had just about enough of it.

They have taken to Twitter in their tens of thousands to ask the BBC to terminate his contract with immediate effect after this game. We know they're trying to make some cut-backs but we doubt they're going to take their advice.

So instead let's just have some fun with the best tweets out there at the moment. We have piled together the funniest, the nastiest and some that simply do not make any sense for your viewing please.
